The Fatebinders implement the Overlord's laws and will, subjugating the conquered and harnessing them for the benefit of Kyros's mighty empire. Kyros is a name out of legend. For centuries the Overlord has consolidated their power, sending out vast armies from the Capital of their realm to swallow entire kingdoms.

The most powerful mystic the world has ever seen, Kyros can issue Edicts - magical proclamations that can level cities, spread pox, sunder the lands, or change the very course of seasons. This ability to deliver suffering and woe to every corner of Terratus without ever being required to leave the Capital has made it so that few ever see the Overlord in person. Though Kyros' name is the single most recognized in the known world, only the Archons can say what the Overlord actually looks like.

The Archons, masters of magic throughout the world, bow to Kyros - and the Overlord will readily destroy any Archons who are unwilling to kneel. These sorcerers and madwomen lead the Overlord's armies in near-endless conquest. As the realms of the known world fall to the Overlord, these captured territories are divided amongst the Archons, who rule in the Overlords name. He's as bland as they get and literally became a humanoid form black hole because he literally isn't alive anymore other than his slavery to nothingness. He became something that is less alive than normal humans because he lost the passions that make you go against laws. He is up front and in the open though, people can easily form opinions of him and mold him over time as Kyros slowly expanded across the continent. Bleden Mark shields himself from drastic change with his air of mysteriousness and fear, but he's still affected.

Dude is literally a living shadow now, it's why he can't get to places filled with "light" easily. Voices of Nerat is insane as a character. I loved fighting him, he's like the Starscream everyone wants to punch in the face and that's awesome.

In his own words his deeds defined him to the people as monstrous, thus he became that way. It became a self-fulfilling cycle where the more monstrous he was thought of, the more he became, the more he acted that way until you get the current Voices of Nerat you see after hundreds of years. Graven Ashe still resembles a human, but you can see he's on his way. Power armor? Thunder maul? Clearly he is going to become the Archon of Sphess Mahrines.

Or it's just he's a hundred or a couple hundred years younger than the rest as far as having become an Archon. If you gave him a couple hundred more years as the Archon of War he might possibly turn into a raging storm giant Check that fancy armor!
